First, fill out the form by clicking here (hyper link to form). Ty speaks to all of the parents and golfers before accepting them into Players Golf Academy or to 1:1 instruction. For 1:1 instruction, there may also be a brief in-person meeting to ensure the right fit for both golfer and family, and Ty.
90% of Ty’s instruction is done at RiverTowne Country Club in Mount Pleasant, SC. Ty will travel to other courses with students on a case-by-case basis.
Offerings are not ideal for the golfer just starting out – although Ty has a coach as part of Players Golf Academy of Charleston who works with introducing the game. Ty’s primary focus is on aspiring competitive players ages 8-12 who are playing or preparing to play tournament golf, established competitive players ages 13-15 who are playing competitively and preparing for high school golf, and elite players preparing for college golf.
Small group classes run for 1.5 hours for multi-weeks in both the Spring and Fall. These classes fill up quickly. Generally, 1:1 instruction lasts an hour and players are expected to come to each session with an intention on what they need to improve upon based on their most recent play.
Golfers are expected to have their own equipment and be familiar with it. If your golfer is in need of new equipment, Ty can help make a recommendation based on observing your golfer’s current equipment and skill level.
